Andy is a Quantity Surveyor working for Swansea based firm, Kaymac Marine & Civil Engineering. During the evenings and weekends Andy will be found either on or in the water taking part in various activities as well as ‘testing’ duties on the ThunderCat.  During the winter months he can be found in the boat shed ‘tinkering’ with the boat.  Andy is an RYA Powerboat Instructor and is an active member of Mumbles Yacht Club.  Away from the water Andy is also a keen cyclist who recently took part in a sponsored bike ride from Paris to Barcelona in order to raise much needed funds for Maggie’s Cancer Centre.

After attending a number of training and race events during the 2014 season to make himself familiar with the format of events, Andy raced in 5 of the RYA 2015 British Championship Rounds.  We look forward to seeing the team able to compete in further events during the 2016 season.

Co-driver info : kate hannington

Kate has spent over a decade working in watersports and yacht management accross Europe, America and the Caribbean.  She has also spent 5 winters indulging her passion of skiing in the French Alpes whilst working as an Operations Manager.  After moving back to the UK in 2012 Kate now manages 360 Beach & Watersports in Swansea.  When she's not on the water or up a mountain. Kate enjoys walking her dog Rox on the beach, loves to travel & spend time with family and friends.

2015 was Kate’s first year within the Thundercat Racing Circuit.  Kate attended a select number of race events during the 2014 season to make herself familiar with the format of events in preparation for the 2015 season but unfortunately due to committments only managed to race in 1 round.
