Well who would of known that at the begining of October 2013 ThunderCat Racing UK was embarking on it's biggest recruitment campaign ever... without even realising! The ThunderCat World Championships held in Cornwall proved to be worth it's weight in racing gold! 17 boats have now registered for the 2014 season, so it was only fair the ThunderCat Events team pulled out venues which would not only challenge every team member but provide a platform to showcase why ThunderCat Racing is the largest single class series the UK has to offer!


Stewartby, Bedford - Round 1

19th - 20th April 2014


It's been a few years since the beutifully flat waters of Stewatby Powerboat Club has hosted a round of the RYA National ThunderCat Championship... So we though it would be an idealic setting for the opening round of the 2014 calendar.


Saturday will be a shake down race without National points to allow all the new teams and red mist that may have built up to settle in. 


Sunday will be the opening round hopefully with all 17 boats that have registered arriving for a thrilling circuit race.


Watergate Bay, Cornwall - Round 2 & 3

9th - 11th May 2014



Thankfully we didn't scare off our hosts the Extreme Academy and Watergate Bay Hotel who have kindly invited us back in 2014.


Friday will be a training day for all teams - Mandatory for all teams entering the ThunderCat Championship surf events for the first time.


Saturday & Sunday shall be full days racing seeing every team complete 6 heats, with the top 12 going through to the final on both days!

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire - Rounds 6 & 7

21st - 22nd June 2014


It's Official ThunderCat Racing will be heading to the picturesque village of Saundersfoot... recommended and assisted by our patriotic Welsh team 51 Racing.net. We have our very own beach with a pit area right next to the beach front. Spectators are in for a treat as-well Saundersfoot boasts a unique coastal path wrapping itself around and through the Welsh cliff tops meaning you are almost on top of the race track!


Lymington, Hampshire - Round 8

19th July 2014


Longhaul of the year and it's a going to be tough no questions about it.. A 95km race around the Isle of wight where the teams will experience all types of water conditions, where the toughest prevail.


ThunderCat Racing UK have teamed up with Zapcat Racing UK for some real head to head action. This is a one day only event.



Folkestone, Kent -Round 9 & 10

16th August -17th August 2014


The Folkestone Harbour Festival has become a regular in the seasons venue selection, There will be free live music and entertainment all weekend, raft race, face painting, food and drink culminating with a spectacular firework display Saturday evening.


You can find the boats racing metres outside the harbour wall, 2 full days of racing to be held with the top 12 going through to the final each day!


Fistral Beach, Newquay - Round 11 & 12

20th - 21st September 2014


THE 2014 FINALS... Anyone visiting last year would have had the pleasure in watching 2 guest racers from Gibraltar entertaining the masses and creating immense pictures like you see on the left there, we have everything crossed for more waves like last year to mix it all up!

Fistral Beach hosts world renowned events each year and we are super fragalisticly privileged to be racing here. The shenanigans shall be carrying on into Sunday evening with the end of season awards ceremony with an open invite to all teams, family and friends.


Eastern Beach, Gibraltar - UIM Europeans

1st -5th October 2014


What needs to be said about Gibraltar.. apart from we wish we could race there every weekend!! Anyone with a inflatable catamaran needs to be at this event as it will be the highlight of the year, sun, sea and fantastic hosts!


If you don’t then you still need to be there book your flights now and start looking forward to some end of season sunbathing with the roar of ThunderCats echoing in the distance. Teams from every European country with a ThunderCat series are expected to be there in what will be an ultimate showdown for our sport.
