Tom has owned boats since he was 13, living, racing and wakeboarding on them. Tom and Amelia used to live on their boat in the River Exe and now live and run The Salutation Inn, their fabulous resturant with beautiful rooms. Tom also races in a Panterra 41 for Ocean Dragon Racing. The team finished 12th overall in the RYA 2014 ThunderCat National Championships and finished 2nd overall in the Modified Class at the 2014 UIM P750 Continental Championships in Gibraltar. During the 2015 season Tom was placed an impressive 10th in both the team and the driver championships after attending just 4 events during the season.

Currently part of the management team at the Salutation Inn, Amelia is used to keeping Tom in order! She is actually from a town called Beer! and lived on a Boat called Tabou.. Gained her wings with Flybe and became a hostess with the mostess.. now Tom has clipped those wings and hostessing for the Sally!
Broad Bean returned from a very successful World Championships in October 2015 which was held in Malta where they achieved 5th overall in the modified class. The team then went onto Coniston to take part in the World Speed Record Attempts where they established the UIM P750 Modified class World Speed Record and the National record at 66.92 mph. Congratulations guys
Both Malachy Browne and Tom Williams-Hawkes are born and bred, 3rd generation powerboat racers from the River Exe.
Tom cut his teeth with brother Charlie in the Round Britain 08 Race in an old Revenger 25. They finished the race in 17th place out of over 40 starters as smallest and lowest powered boat, winning the Youngest Crew Award and the Brand-Crombie Perpetual Trophy for Outstanding Effort.
Tom has raced in Cowes - Torquay - Cowes 4 times!!
