Thundercat Racing Celebrates Jubilee weekend with three days of action in Lowestoft

The results are in for the Thundercat Jubilee Grand Prix held in Lowestoft 2nd – 3rd July.

In the Pro Stock series, Team Microlink came first place in both rounds reaching an impressive 82 kph and Team Ahmad Tea reached first place in the stock series.

The racing throughout the weekend was extremely close with hundreds of spectators lined along the promenade clapping and squealing with suspense as they watch the thrills and spills of the racing, including the driver of Team Bulletproof, Marc Newton entertaining the crowds with his spectacular somersault from the boat into the water!

Team Ahmad Tea driver and co-pilot, Mike Littler and Joe Farley say they are ecstatic about the results “We are currently leading the RYA National Championship in our class and are very pleased with our results. We have had some grueling weather conditions thrown at us this weekend but team work and consistency has really paid off.”

The Jubilee celebrations throughout the town of Lowestoft made the atmosphere particularly enjoyable this weekend. ThunderCat Racing would like to thank the people of Lowestoft for making us feel so welcome and including us in their celebrations, especially including our team in the lighting of their beacon.

Fiona Pascoe, head of ThunderCats was extremely pleased with the success of the weekend and looks forward to coming back. “This weekend has been wonderful and so has the reception we received from Lowestoft … it’s about getting bigger and better, we are already planning our event in Lowestoft for next year.”
