BIG BUOYS’ ThunderCat Racing back in town to crown ‘King of the Surf’
ThunderCat Racing is heading to Fistral Beach, Newquay on Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st September for the final rounds of their RYA National Championship. The two day event will see the two man teams from across the UK battle through the conditions all weekend to gain the final points for the prestigious National Championship title. Not to be confused with any other sport ThunderCat Racing is the ultimate in Inflatable Boat Racing – faster and harder than ever seen before.
This series is certainly not a new concept, nor constrained to the UK. Born out of South Africa over 20 years ago, the sport has now spanned to more than 15 countries all adopting the same rules and classifications. It is the ultimate spectator experience, it's close to shore circuits ensure all the action can be seen from the comfort of your deck chair!
Competition is extremely tight, keep an eye out for some of the anticipated front runners. Onyx Events – Bligh Julius and Charles Hatfield and Surrey Joinery – Rowly Brooks and Andy Cousins who all have previous titles under their belts. There is also a new highly experienced all girls team Women on Water set to come and show the boys how it’s done sponsored by Microlink PC and Ahmad Tea.
The sought after title ‘King of the Surf’ title as well as the 2014 National Champion will be crowned during the event at Fistral Beach and will be a family friendly spectacle not to be missed.
