Exciting Powerboat Racing comes to Clevedon this Bank Holiday Weekend

If you want to see some exciting powerboat racing just offshore Clevedon, then don’t miss Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2016 Microlink ThunderCat Racing Championship this bank holiday weekend (27th and 28th August.)

After an exciting season so far, the ThunderCat racing championship is very close with the Multispark racing team at the front of the leader board with only a 2 point lead over team Microlink/Ahmad Tea.

It is the first time that the ThunderCat Racing team has visited the beautiful coastal town of Clevedon. The town, nestled between Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare, provides a magnificent backdrop to view this high octane water sport. The Bristol Channel will see some different exhilarating racing. You can expect the 4m inflatable boats to be hitting the white crests and reach heights of 20 plus feet in the air... a spectacle you will not see in any other motorsport.

ThunderCat Racing organiser, Fiona Pascoe said, ‘Families can come down and watch all the racing for FREE from the shore including the pier, promenade and boating lake. Spectators will be able to get very close to the teams, take picture with their phones, whilst listening to some great commentary providing updates of all the racing thrills and spills!

For more details about this FREE to watch event, visit the ThunderCat Racing website or its dedicated event page on Facebook.

ThunderCat Racing at Clevedon takes place on Saturday 27th August (racing starts at 14.00) and on Sunday 28th August (racing starts at 15.30.)
