ThunderCat on Tour in Sri Lanka

A perfect partnership was experienced by both the Sri Lankan's and the UK ThunderCat Racing teams, whom participated in an amazing recent sporting cultural exchange.

Lanka Powerboat Club invited and sponsored ThunderCat Racing UK as part of the UIM Prop Stars Youth & Development Program. This involved sending a team of racers and officials to Sri Lanka to teach the local youth, adults and the Club on how to surf race and officiate UIM P750 Racing. This will hopefully enable Sri Lanka to host UIM International Racing by the end of 2017.

The UK team received the most magical of Sri Lankan welcomes. The local people's warmth and affection was fantastic and everyone was so friendly! Experiencing both the culture and breathtaking environment…the scenery as you can see from this video is beautiful!

Whilst spending a week in Sri Lanka, the students learnt how to race; their training included safety on the water, technology and the advance rules and regulations required for competitive participation. Clearly there was also time for the British contingent to do a bit of sight-seeing, that's part of the cultural exchange.

It's essential to build our global community and why the TRUE FOUNDATION has a significant part to play within this sporting platform. Understanding and acknowledging our differences and building global friendships. Experiencing different cultures and truly believing how we can live in harmony when respecting each other’s way of lives!

Thank you Lanka Powerboat Club. It was remarkable 'WIN WIN' experience for everyone involved!
