Top 10 Finishes for GB Teams at ThunderCat World Championships

Both GB teams fought hard and did amazingly well finishing in the top ten at the recent ThunderCat/UIM P750 World Championships, held in Cape Town, South Africa.

Team 33 MultiSpark Racing, comprising, Brits Blìgh Julius and Charlie Hatfield were the best of the overseas competitors coming third place in the circuit racing and placing ninth place overall. Britain’s other team, Team Moku made up of Darryn Harrison and Jimmy Ion placed tenth, despite Harrison bravely racing with a painful knee injury.

Eben de Bod and Gerhoud Fernhout were crowned as 2017 UIM P750 Pro Stock World Champions. The team from Robertson in South Africa showed consistency throughout the 3 disciplines Surf, Long Haul and Circuit, with two third places and a second. South African teams filled the podium places and the top positions up to 8th

Well done Team 33 and Moku Racing. Everyone in the UK ThunderCat community were avidly following your races. We are all very proud of you all.

Next year the World Championships will be hosted by France at the end of September/beginning of October, (date to be confirmed)….we just can’t wait!
