The scenic town of Clevedon hosted rounds nine and ten of the ThunderCat Racing Championship for the very first time. The event saw massive crowds as well as exhilarating powerboat racing from all the teams.
The boats were out in force throughout Saturday and Sunday, much to the delight of holidaymakers and locals alike. There was four hours of racing action each day with the racing comprising of four 30 minute ‘Enduro’ races.

Microlink / Ahmad Tea took the two race wins, Round 10 and are looking hot favourites to win the 2016 Microlink ThunderCat Championship. Mutispark Racing #33 took second overall with Moku Evolution claiming third overall.
The idea to bring power racing to Clevedon was the brainchild of chamber of Commerce president Paul Anslow who has been working on the project for 18 months.
Fiona Pascoe, Director of ThunderCat Racing said, ‘Clevedon proved to be a breath of fresh air for the competitors, the new venue exceeded all expectations and the Chamber of Commerce President Paul Anslow who has been working on the project for 18 months announced at prize giving that the town are looking forward to hosting ThunderCat Racing again, next year.’
